OVER POPULATION

Has anyone ever given any thought as to the world is beginning to be over populated? Think about it. There are only so many businesses that can hire so many people. And yet the population just keeps on increasing. Acording to the census of 2000 the birth rate was 14-15 per 1000 And yet the death rate was 9 per 1000. So as the birth rate is out pacing the death rate you will see over population.

Look at it like this. If you put a balloon under the faucet and start to fill it with water, eventually it will break because it cannot hold any more water. Well this is what we are doing to our planet. So look at it like this, 10 thousand jobs and 100 thousand people, major problem wouldn't you say?

We will soon be running out of land to grow food as they are constantly taking more and more land to build houses. When is it going to end.

Makes one wonder if there shouldn't be an open hunting season on people. Or maybe something like they did in Logan's Run. Except instead of euthanizing people when they reach a certain age, do it to criminals. I mean when animal populations become over populated we lengthen hunting seasons and ease up on the regulations. And people are just animals. Why should we be any different?

It may well come to that. Just look at the money and food it would save.

Who are we killing first and who makes the decision? Who does the killing?

Me, I make the decition. There's a few I got in mind and I doubt there'd be many complaints.

I'm joking of course, but a man can dream can't he?

Boy I have felt like killing someone. Thank goodness that is all, I just have felt like it.

True it seems we are over populated. I like space and am not that fond of a lot of people. I would love it if there were less people. Maybe sometime in the future people will wise up.

I was once in a discussion about what makes a person murder. One person said it was conscience that stopped most of us. I told them in some cases that is true. But there were times I wanted to and conscience had nothing to do with what stopped me. She said it had to have been conscience because it stopped you from doing it. I said fine, if you want to concider 20 to life in a cell with Bubba and the possibility of execution conscience, then we'll say it was conscience that stopped me.

I like your idea. There could be a pediphile hunting season with a no bag limit! I like it! Where do I sign up?

It is interesting you brought this up.

I was having a discussion with my husband and daughter about this very thing. It seems for both of them it would be their conscious that would stop them from killing another person. They said to me you have to remember the person has a Mom. Dad. family others that would care if you killed them. I gave it some thought and realized I really did not care. It would be the consequences that would stop me. Prison. Being locked up. I would hate it. So it sounds cold. But for me the people in my life I could have killed, which are very few. probably would not have been done given the chance because of consequences..

But then again if I were really in the situation and able to kill it may just be concious would kick in and stop me. I don't think we would ever know if we really could kill someone until the situation was taking place. Then how we would feel afterwards would be something to consider.

I think if you are sane and have a conscious it would bother you.

I don't have nightmares but killing someone might just induce them. LOL

The nightmares can go away. But the persons face and the memory never will.
